Description: 8,500 sf restaurant, bar, and lounge. The design features a display kitchen and custom designed architectural elements including pivot entry door, fireplace, and architectural metal work.
The concept for Kettner Exchange was to create a social experience themed on William Kettner, late congressman from the early 1900’s who brought character, kinship, and political cohesion to San Diego. The 2-story restaurant and lounge features indoor/outdoor dining experiences that range from traditional dining, lounging, swinging, and even private dining. Bluemotif was responsible for the Architectural design, interior design, and custom fabrication for most of the FF&E on the project. BMA collaborated w/ fellow designers at Tecture who contributed some unique design elements and custom fabrication.
