In 2011, the original PrepKitchen Del Mar was devastated by a grease fire. The entire facility needed to be demolished and reconstructed. The new facility was designed to combine some of the original character of the previous design while incorporating the evolution of the brand as applied in the Little Italy location. Bluemotif performed design and engineering coordination services as well as all FF&E design and procurement. The design features reclaimed wood barn siding, recycled glass tile, and custom fabricated furniture by Bluemotif.
